Minimum of 10 years teaching/research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 to 6 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IIMs (or) at an equivalent level in any such other foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards (experience during Ph.D. will not be counted). Demonstrate commitment to outstanding teaching, executive education, research & consultancy service (highlighting current & past research interests and achievements) and possess a history of significant success in fund generation & resource development. Selected candidate shall have a contractual fixed full-time tenure of appointment for five years or till attaining the age of superannuation of 65 years, whichever is earlier. The applicant should have at least 15 years of teaching/research experience. Professor of Practice

  1. The purpose is to bring in those who add value to our teaching programmes due to their experience and or expertise in the world of practice. In order to be considered for the Professor of Practice contract, the individuals must have substantial experience (minimum 20 years) in industry or Government with demonstrated understanding of and impact on practice and has the interest and potential to teach leadership development programs as full-time activity.
  2. While a Ph.D. is desirable, it is not essential. However, lack of Ph.D. must be offset by demonstrated domain knowledge, obtained from the ‘field’.
  3. The candidates must be evaluated for their exceptional contributions either because of their unique expertise (which is not available internally) or because of their potential contribution to the institute through teaching quality and exceptional service.
  4. Professor of Practice will be appointed initially for a period of two years and is renewable for a period of up to 5 years based on his performance and approval of the Director. In both the cases the retirement age will be 65 years.
  5. Depending on the relevant years of experience, the candidate could be called either “Associate Professor or Practice” or “Professor of Practice”.
  6. The overall compensation of “Associate Professor of Practice” or “Professor of Practice” will be equivalent to that of regular Associate Professor or Full Professor.

2) STUDENT CAREER DEVELOPMENT OFFICER / MANAGER

The Student Career Development Officer / Manager provide the key support function to help students and professionals achieve high quality practicum training and placement within the country and abroad. The Student Career Development Officer/Manager provides managerial advisement to the students of institute’s academic programs, viz. PGDM-ABPM, PGDM-FPBM, MBA & proposed PGDM-AE&BM in corporate training, field, industry & international visits and final placements. The Student Career Development Officer/Manager evaluates existing training, career development practices and develops new system; as well as maintains a pool of volunteer supervisors to work with students placed in collaborative agencies and industries.

Accountability: The Student Career Development Officer/Manager works under the supervision of the Director and Faculty Council, and provides corporate training, career development service & retention to the students and trainees of IIPM as well as ensuring a high standard of customer service, including public relations within the country and abroad.

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline (10+2+3+2) with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent from a reputed University/Institution with consistently good academic record. Applicants should have good communication and interpersonal skills and able to communicate with top officials of HR of multinational and Indian organizations in order to ensure 100% placement of the students. Applicants should possess demonstrated ability to provide students with appropriate guidance and support in the realm of Corporate Training, Study Abroad Program (SAP) and career development service. Good working knowledge of computer applications is essential.
