Visualizing and building the vision on the IIPM-Bangalore tradition of excellence in academics, reach-out model and location specific research, the IIPM Centre, Jorhat serves as the gateway to the North Eastern region. The centre connects the IIPM’s vast knowledge resources to the plantation and its associated agri-business community. IIPM Centre, Jorhat creates a unique – participatory learning environment for the planters, SML entrepreneurs, professional groups and corporate teams to exchange creativity, ideas and explore.
Five thousand five hundred square feet building proposed for the state-of-the art structure was given to IIPM by Tocklai Experimental Station, the World’s oldest and the largest tea research organization – in honor of Tea Board of India and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
