The agreement is intended for collaboration to harness the complementary nature of the strengths of research, teaching, and enterprise in Agriculture and related fields. It focuses on enhancing the educational capabilities of IIPMB and Harper Adams University through student and faculty exchanges, joint research and educational programs, and research contracts.
The scope of collaboration involves, a) Creation of specific training programs with international components as part of the IIPMB’s training and capacity-building initiatives, b) Providing Foreign Internships for IIPMB Students, c) Joint Training and Consultancy Projects on revenue sharing basis, d) Vocational training pertaining to Skill Development Training at IIPMB and its regional centers.

The areas of collaboration include; a) acceptance by the RAU of graduates of IIPM with appropriate credit transfer onto higher level programmes of study, b) development of new programme initiatives, c) sharing of resources for teaching and research activities, d) exchange of academic personnel for teaching and research, e) organization of joint seminars and conferences, f) collaboration in application for contracts in research and consultancy projects.
The aim is to strengthen, promote and develop international and research cooperation between the Indian Institute of Plantation Management and Universiti Teknologi Mara on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Specific focus is on a) research and development projects / activities in the areas of Plantation Management, Crop Protection, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agro Biotechnology and Agricultural Biology and Engineering Technology, b) technical consultancies, c) students supervision, external thesis examiner, curriculum development and capacity building and, d) cooperation in any other areas as agreed to by the parties from time to time.
The purpose of the MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation and to promote mutual understanding between RICEM and IIPMB. It permits the exchange of scholars, professional staff members, students, and academic information between the institutions. By establishing such exchanges, the instructional and research activities at both institutions are envisaged to enhance and mutual understanding between scholars and students of both institutions are facilitated.
The collaboration is focused on, a) learning and teaching including the development of a programme leading to an award, b) exchanges of students for a given period through a recognized exchange programme, c) exchange of members of the universities, d) exchange of documentation and research material, e) coordination through the respective offices in joint or collaborative research projects.
The collaboration serves to facilitate and enhance the capacities of each institution to effectively implement the state-of-the-art means for assessing sustainability objectives. COSA and IIPM intend to share knowledge and experience to further each other’s missions in the form of potential information exchanges, joint projects, sharing methods, training, or similar understanding. This partnership undertakes to advance practical and science-based measures to better understand and accelerate sustainability in food and agriculture.
The collaboration serves to facilitate and enhance the capacities of each institution to effectively implement the state-of-the-art means for assessing sustainability objectives. The agreement permits the exchange of scholars, professional staff members, students, and academic information between the IIPM and IBS-Americas. It includes; a) exchange of scholars (professors, advanced graduate fellows, and/or researchers) and professional staff members, b) exchange of students (graduate and undergraduate, c) exchange of information and academic materials, d) organization and joint research programs including those for eventual publication in academic and professional journals, e) exchange of information about conferences, workshops and mutual assistance to participate in them, f) collaboration in distance education and information technology, g) other feasible and relevant educational activities to be engaged upon according to this agreement and in the spirit of developing education for mutual benefit to the parties, students and public, h) supporting activities/ services such as Language Training, Orientations and preparatory courses are considered.
The aim is to explore opportunities for potential collaboration in, a) exchange of staff and students, b) development of progression routes from courses of IIPM to courses leasing to awards of the university, c) any other areas which may promote the academic interests of the NTU and IIPMB in research and/or teaching.
