Dr. T. Anukiruthika is an Assistant Professor in Food Technology and Management at the Indian Institute of Plantation Management – Bengaluru. She holds a Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and both M.Tech. and B.Tech. degrees in Food ProcessEngineering from NIFTEM–Thanjavur, where she graduated as a gold medalist. Her academic and research interests focus on sustainable food processing, grain storage management, food rheology, 3D/4D food printing, smart packaging, and plant-based innovations. She has international research experience in predictive modeling and spectral imaging for grain storage ecosystems and has also taught at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and NIFTEM–Kundli, India. At IIPM–B, she contributes to teaching and mentoring postgraduate students, as well as supporting institutional capacity-building activities through training programs, workshops, and industry-focused initiatives.
Dr. Anukiruthika is an active peer reviewer for several reputed international journals and engages in scholarly service to the academic community. She is also a member of professional bodies including the Canadian Society for Bioengineering (CSBE), the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), and the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) [AFSTI].
